In the above image Scott Pilgrim is wearing a red and white ringer t-shirt with an image of a bass guitar head on it. Please don’t confuse the image on the shirt to be a regular (6 string) guitar head. It is a bass guitar head. How do we know? Well, for one, Scott played bass in the film and secondly, it only has four machine heads. Other than being a Bush song, a machine head is the mechanism that allows you to tune guitar strings. Basses have four strings (normally), thus four machine heads.
