Marty Mauser Glasses
Marty Mauser wears these thin gold wire-rimmed glasses for pretty much all of Marty Supreme, the Josh Safdie movie where Timothée Chalamet plays a Lower East Side ping pong hustler who is convinced the world owes him a championship. The character is loosely based on a real guy, Marty Reisman (opens in a new tab), who wrote a memoir called The Money Player.
The glasses are vintage American Optical (AO) Numont semi-rimless frames featuring a 1/10 12k gold-filled design from the 1930s–1950s.
And they were real prescription lenses, by the way. Chalamet reportedly had his vision made worse (opens in a new tab) so he could squint through them properly. That is commitment.
