Ryland's "San Francisco Cat" Shirt

In Project Hail Mary, Ryland (Ryan Gosling) where this t-shirt, which appears to be an overweight cat sitting atop of the golden gate bridge. It appears that this shirt is actually a vintage item, but there are plenty of non-original-sellers making replicas. If you’re interested, you should be able to find an acceptable one.

The cat is a B. Kliban (opens in a new tab) cat, the striped guy in sneakers that has been on t-shirts since the 70s, here lounging on the Golden Gate Bridge. Kliban started out drawing cartoons for Playboy, which is not where I expected a cat shirt to come from.

Grace later trades it for a mission t-shirt, which is a downgrade.
